The pulp chamber and root canal system of this first molar are without significant calcifications or obliterations. The canals are quite long, ranging approximately 23–25 mm measured from their respective cusps. The MB2 root canal presents a challenge — after a 4 mm common course with MB1, it separates in the deeper portion of the canal’s first third and continues as a narrow, slightly S-shaped curved canal. Two millimeters prior to the terminus, there is a communication through an isthmus between the two mesiobuccal canals. The apical diameters of the respective canals range from 0.15 to 0.3 mm.
